Dutch rock legend Vengeance is back with a musical bang: almost three years after their most recent studio album "Soul Collector", their latest recording "Crystal Eye" is ready for release and is set to delight all fans of the band's straightforward, timeless hard rock. Vocalist Leon Goewie promises eleven haunting new songs which forge an arch between the group"s glorious past " documented by the return of the legendary band logo from the cult recordings "We Have Ways To Make You Rock" and "Take It Or Leave It" " and their future-oriented present.
"Crystal Eye" will be out on 27 February 2012 (Germany: 24 February, USA/Canada: early March) on Steamhammer/SPV. Goewie comments the worldwide collaboration with the german Hanover based label enthusiastically: "We are proud that we have signed with SPV/Steamhammer. We finally found our home and together we have many ways to make the fans rock!" Olly Hahn, A&R at Steamhammer/SPV, is equally delighted: "I was always a fan of the band and now they are part of the SPV family, which is fantastic. The new album rocks big time and will bring a huge smile on the face of every fan!"
The album"s sensational all-star cast is just as spectacular as the new material: alongside original vocalist Leon Goewie, "Crystal Eye" features drummer Chris Slade ( AC/DC), guitarist Keri Kelli ( Alice Cooper), bassist Chris Glen ( Michael Schenker Group), and guest guitarist Timo Somers (son of Vengeance guitarist Jan Somers, who sadly passed away in January 2011). "More than ever before, this is a band which consists of friends," comments Goewie, whose excellent reputation as an exceptional vocalist made this impressive line-up possible: Goewie, Slade, Glen and Kelli also form the nucleus of AC/DC cover band Chris Slade`s Steel Circle who rock the popular clubs whenever their time allows it.
"Crystal Eye" was produced by Michael Voss, who composed most of the songs in collaboration with Goewie. The title track was penned by former Vengeance guitarist Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon, Star One), and Tony Martin ( Black Sabbath) contributed "Whole Lotta Metal" tailor-made for Goewie and Vengeance. The album closes with the instrumental "Jan`s End Piece" which features the last guitar solos recorded by Jan Somers before his unexpected death.
"I've listened to the new tracks a couple of times now and consider this the most professional album I"ve ever done," says Goewie proudly, adding: "The fun and humour which are typical of Vengeance are all there on "Crystal Eye", but in addition, the material is perceptibly more serious, which I feel really suits Vengeance mark 2012."
Goewie & Co. will schedule a tour featuring their illustrious album line-up for March/April 2012.

We deeply regret the suddenly passing away from our dearly beloved band member and personal friend Jan Somers.
Jan died of a heart-attack this afternoon at the 28th of January, in the age of 46, at his home in Mierlo, Holland. Jan was one of the band members of the FIRST hour from the band VENGEANCE.
We wish his family, friends and fan the strength to rock on.
The family's request is to give them peace and quietness for the next two days.

HOT NEWS !
Again Leon is going on tour with his friend and the master of drums Mister Chris Slade. This time the CS/SC all star AC/DC tribute band will be joined with Chris Glen (MSG,SHAB, Ian Gillan) on Bass, Greg Delaloye(guitar) and last but not least J Jay Bozzy on guitar! For Leon it's a nice intervention from the studio work, he has been tied up creating songs for the new VENGEANCE album.

Leon would like to thank all the fans who came to support him on the road.
Chris, J-Jay, Keri, Robbie, Nicolas and the rest of the crew thanks for the fantastic time and hard all your hard work.
In between time Leon was invited bij Radio E fm , as usual we had a great time and a lot of old Vengeance songs, like Dreamulator and the Darkside Of The Brain came along.

Well, well boys and girls
How are you doing!! We are doing great!
In Tilburg, the home town of Leon, was on Sunday 8 November 2009 in Pop Podium 013, the book presentation of The History of Popmusik (popmuziek) in Tilburg, made by the Journalist Paul Geerts and Hans Rube. In the book are all the great musicians that Tilburg has had the past 50 years. Great that Leon/Vengeance is also recognized as a great artist in the book.

It was a great gig and the boy's gave it all, Thanks to all the crew/people and fans over there!
Meanwhile we went to the tv studio to see the viewing of the docu soap of Vengeance "Verboden Voor Onbevoegden" (sorry only in Dutch)
Part one will be broadcasted on 22 november 18.40 h and part two will be broadcasted on 29 november also 18.40 h.
The band and crew would like to give special thanks to: Asja, Joost and Petry for all their hard work, and of course Omroep Brabant, Q Promotions and Bba tours. Without you guys we could not make this happen!!!

Vengeance Headlined before Saxon @ the Dicky Woodstock Festival last Thursday and put down a great show, @ the ‘Rock of Ages’ Festival in Seebronn (Germany), they Rocked the festival like no other. People were amazed by the awesome performance on stage and loads of people came to the signing session just after the gig. We met a lot of great people and Vengeance would like to thank the Rock of Ages Organization for their great care and we hope to see them again…….a lot of material has been shot for the docusoap of the band and when this will be aired we’ll let you know….

Vengeance rocked the Hobnob Festival last Saturday the 4th of July. Also the new Soul Collector Backdrop was introduced and looks very cool. Vengeance is now getting ready for two great summer festivals:
Dicky Woodstock Festival – 30/07/2009 with SAXON and the Rock of Ages Festival in Germany 01/08/2009 with Status Quo – Gary Moore – DORO.
With us, will be traveling a camera crew to make some recordings for a docusoap. More info on that subject after the Rock of Ages festival.

The Soul Collector Tour is still going very well. Last weekend Vengeance did two great blasts in Switzerland at “the Rock City” and “Tibis-Downstairs” ,the crowd went absolutely crazy. Many thanks to Uster and Worblaufen and for next year… Vengeance will be back.
However Soul Collector is doing good , Leon and Jan already started the process of writing new songs for a new Vengeance album.We'll keep you posted as soon as there is any news on this.
On the 30th of July Vengeance will share the stage with legends SAXON at the great Dicky Woodstock Festival. Be there !!!

Erik Stout leaves Vengeance
Here a personal note from Erik .....
Hey everyone,
I have always been a busy little bee. In may/june, the new Iron Mask album 'Shadow of the Red Baron' will see the light of day and it looks like the band wants to go on tour with this new album. In september I will go on tour again with the mighty Joe Stump Band. I am also still working with Kaspar Smoolenaars on our dance-side project and it looks like I will join a new band on short notice.
With all of these things going on, I just didn't have the time anymore to commit myself fully to Vengeance. Early march 2009 I broke the news to the band that it might be better for me to step aside and it was mutually agreed that Vengeance would go on the search for a new drummer. I played all the shows in march to give the band proper time to find a new recrute. I would like to wish the band all the best in the future and I wanna thank all the Vengeance fans for their support & loyalty during my time in the band; it was a great ride and having been part of the 'Soul Collector' album has made me very proud!

To all fans , friends and relatives we will inform that Soul Collector is doing very well. The album reaches the no.1 position in the German Rockchart and was reviewed in 10x Eremetaal in Aardschok. Check out more reviews of Soul Collector at press which can be found in the menu. The shows are all fantastic sofar and lots of spectators visited Vengeance in Zoetermeer , Almelo , Dordrecht , Aalten , Heerlen and Uden. The crowd loved the new songs as played by Vengeance during the shows and every show is a blast. Lots of shows are coming up so always pay attention at the tourguide.

Last friday , January 30 , Vengeance finally presented their new album Soul Collector. With an excellent show completed with lasers and off course a great set with a lot of new songs of Soul Collector. The first surprise was directly the opening song of the new album "Wait Until The Sun Goes Down" followed by album opener "Cross In The Rain". "Rock And Roll Man" followed and after classics "Take It Or Leave It" and "May Heaven Strikes Me Down" another new song was launched into the audience. The marvelous balled "I Never Felt That Way Before" was very good received and with "Rock N' Roll Shower" and "Arabia" the party continues. After new song "Dance" ,"Rip It Off" and "Planet Zich" the set ended with a thundering version of "Down And Out".
When Vengeance hit the stage again for the encore they surprised everyone with another two songs from the new album. The titletrack of
"Soul Collector" and they ended the evening with a great version of "Rock N' Roll Band". A supurb and splendid kick off of the Soul Collector Tour so cu all on Feb 14 at De Boerderij in Zoetermeer for another great CD Release Party of Vengeance and with special guests Highway Chile and Valentine. After the succesful 25th Anniversary Tour , on January 30 Vengeance will kick off the Soul Collector Tour. It's all got to do with their upcoming new studio album Soul Collector.
Soul Collector will be officialy released on January 23 by Metal Heaven. However you are able to pre-order Soul Collector by going to the links which can be check out in the menu.
The CD Presentation will take place on friday January 30 2009 in Perron 55 , Venlo with support of Sun Caged followed with a great CD
