Emile Marcelis
At the age of 14 Emile knew exactly what he wanted to do…after hearing the song ‘Fast as a Shark’ from Accept he was addicted to the 80’s rock and metal.
He grew up with legendary bands like Motorhead, Metallica, Saxon, Black Sabbath, W.A.S.P. and last but not least Iron Maiden.
At the age of 19 Emile picked up a bassguitar and learned himself some basic skills. Then he started an 80’s rockcoverband with some friends.
A few years later he moved to the city of Utrecht to study and there he joined the heavy-metal band ‘Ballox’.
He played with Ballox untill 2003.
After that period Emile and two other members of ‘Ballox’ decided to start the Iron Maiden tribute band ‘Somewhere on Stage’.
It turned out to be a succesful and fun experience to play the music that he loved so much and he did quite a lot of gigs with this band.
This was also the opportunity for Emile to show the public the power and energy he feels when he is on stage, because he thinks that show is as important as the music itself.
