Timo Somers
Timo Somers is a 17 year old guitar-addict from Holland. Since his 12th lifeyear he became obsessed with the guitar, playing it for at least 5 hours a day. Timo explored the world of guitar on his own, without any lessons or whatsoever.
,Music is the ultimate form of self-expression’, Timo says.
,I could not possibly imagine a life anymore without it, whether I am sad, happy, confused, crazy, I always find a way to express my feelings trough my guitar, a life without a guitar is like a life without a soul, for me’.
Since his 15th birthday Timo spent a lot of time recording his own songs [which can be heard at his myspace.
At the age of 16, Timo started a band with ‘Timo Engelvaart’ [an insane drummer] called Pr0teZT. Later on, Alex Campos joined the band, handling the Bass. They are currently writing and recording songs, and will play some gigs next year.
Timo’s first experience with Vengeance was, ofcourse, with his dad, who has been the guitarplayer for Vengeance for a pretty long time.
When Timo was 15 he occasionally played a small solo during some Vengeance Gig’s as a special guest.
His first real Vengeance gig was in Czechia where he had to back up because of the absence of one of the guitarplayers.
Since October 2008, Timo became a full member of Vengeance, handling the guitar-duties together with his dad, ‘Jan Somers’, and appears on the new ‘Soul Collector’ album.
